Looking Back and Christmas!!

I hope EVERYONE had a wonderful Christmas! As I look back on this past year I am thankful for SO many things! The main thing is that Baker has been so healthy! Yes, I am thankful for our house, and my hubby for all his hard work, plus our supportive family's, but God has really been good to us! I have had the song, "Give Thanks to the Lord... For he is Good" stuck in my head for days. I sing it all the time! I know that I have bad days and lots of times that I am down and out, but then I look at Baker and know that God has really blessed us! It has been since October of 2008 since Baker has been in the hospital! OVER A YEAR!!! That is just amazing to us... and his doctors!!!

Well I guess I will stop talking and post some pictures!!!
Baker has grown so much since last year!

And again! He is so BIG!!!

Me and Katelyn
This is her last year in high school! And next year I won't get to see her as much. She is going to University of South Alabama in Mobile! I am so excited for her and even more proud! She is going to be a GREAT physical therapist! She has such a heart for helping people!

My Wonderful parents! They have been TOO good to us! And I am so blessed to call them Mom and Dad!!!

Don't know if you knew it or not but this is the new hot thing! Silly Bands!!! My niece and nephew have so many!!! And got more! They are rubber bands that when not being worn, turn into shapes. Here JW is showing off all his!!

Here is the bands that Baker has!!! Destinee gave them to him! He has his own pack... for when he gets older!!
My nieces and nephew with Baker!!! They have grown so much this past year! I still remember the first time I saw the girls... dressed as a bear and cowgirl! Beautiful girls!!!

Now we have a quote made from vinyl on the wall that says," Life is not measured by the breaths we take, but by the Moments that take our breath away!!!"

This is the dining part of the den! Like I said... Junky!!!
The front (pink) door! We are going to get a whole new door... in time!!
Maybe after Christmas is over, I will be able to get my hubby to paint the bedroom and then we can finally settle in! I have loved the whole process of decorating and fixing our house! I just wish that I had TONS of money to buy what I want!!! : )

On a side note... MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!! FROM MY FAMILY TO YOURS!!!

Not enough time in the Day... Update

Yes... That's right, There isn't enough time in the day for me to get all the things done that I want to get done and still have time for Baker and Derek. I love that we are moving into the house and getting things put in its place, but it can be stressful! I need someone to just give me thousands of dollars for curtains, blinds, picture frames that match, etc... The little things!!! But it is a process and one day it will be as close to perfect as can be! But it is VERY exciting that I/we : ) can do what we want to with our wall color and knock out walls (if we decide too) I hope to have pictures uploaded soon, Very soon of the progress so far!! My Hubby has busted his tail to get it perfect for us!

Not too much has been going on with Baker! He has been a little bit sick but nothing too bad that a little time wouldn't heal! He had a head cold. We managed to keep it out of his lungs with some chest physical therapy!

We took pictures for Christmas cards and sent them out to family. and a few friends. I promise to post pictures from that as well! We didn't get to take Baker to the Christmas parade this year. That was during the time of him being sick and it was just TOO cold!

I guess the only thing left to say is that I have decided not to go back to Troy University. I am transfering back into LBWCC to finish my associates degree and do the Digital Sonography program! I think that would be perfect for me! I have always appreciated the Medical field but since Baker was born, never wanted to deal with sickness or illnesses! Wish me luck on that! I have to get through with a few prerequisites but should be able to start in the fall!

I am also working at an Attorney's office. I really like it up here! Not as stressful as a few of my other jobs and since I know Bart and we get along so well, it has been an easy transition from being at home! I am really hoping to work my schedule around being up here at the office!!

Well I think that is plenty for now! I will have to upload pictures later but I don't have them right now with me, so check back later!!!

New House!!

Well... we have finally gotten a house and I am SO excited!!
It needs some work and we really busted a lot out on it yesterday! Derek got a day off of work for his Birthday! We changed the shower head, took down 4 doors, put together a tv stand, pulled wallpaper from 2 rooms, cleaned those walls, and got one coat of paint on the kitchen! It looks better already!!! Here are some pictures!!!

Kitchen Before:

Kitchen After:That was just one coat and still needs another one!

New tv stand from my parents for Christmas!! I love it!!!!

I could not fit under the old shower head so we had to find something to raise the shower head! And we need one with a hose for Baker's baths!

Halloween Time

I know this post is a little late but I did want to share with you! This was Baker's first year to dress up for Halloween! Last year we had just came home from the hospital and we just dressed him in a pumpkin shirt with black pants! He was still a cute pumpkin...
This is at Westview Baptist Church. They do a trunk-or-treat every year and we were itching to get Baker out!!!
This year, instead of our church giving out candy at church, the city of Opp decided to do a Kid Fest and had people set up stations in the parking lot to give out candy. Derek and I volunteered to give out candy for the church for 30 minutes. So I decided that we should dress up with Baker! So... Meet the Rubbles... Betty, Barney, and Bam Bam!
We never got a good picture of Baker's costume, oh well... but you can see it a little better in the next picture of Derek and Baker! We worked on these costumes one weekend. So needless to say, you could tell that they were made!! And plus we didn't account for the cold front that came through! So we had to go get long shirts and sweat pants. I bought 2 leopard print blankets and used one as a shawl and covered Baker up with the other!
We also wanted to get a picture for the fall time, And this is the best that we got! I really want to get outside with Baker, maybe this weekend, and take some more pictures of him in his fall colors! I love this time of the year!! The cooler weather, giving thanks, family time, and Christmas is right around the corner!!
While I am here, I want to share that we recently celebrated my Grandmother's 86 birthday! She is such an inspiration to me and I wish that it was easy to get to her house so that she could love on Baker like she did me growing up!! I just wanted to share a few pictures from her birthday party!
Mom and Grandmother

Grandmother and a FEW of her great grandchildren... along with a few extras! : )

Grandmother talking to Baker!

I love this picture of J.W. and Baker! J.W. is such a cutie!!

And last but not least... this is all of my mom's grandchildren!! I had a better picture but I guess I didn't choose it to upload! Oh Well!!

Happy Halloween!!

Well we had a blast making our costumes this year!!! But we did wait till the last minute to get them all done!! I never really did finish mine, but oh well!! They turned out cute considering that we have NO sewing experience!! *S*We were the Rubbles from The Flintstones. We even had a costume for Harley, our dog. But she never got to be Dino! It was so cold that night and we didn't account for long sleeves and sweat pants so we had to do some last minute shopping!!

Baker loved playing with the witch that we have! It was colorful and she loved her hat! *S*

Later we decided to sit Baker up. He loves sitting up and watching cartoons! I can't believe how big he is and how much he has accomplished in the past year! He amazes me everyday!!!

I have more pictures to post and will do so later! We have had a busy weekend with Halloween, Kidfest, Baby Kaidi's shower, and my Grandmother's Birthday!!! So I will upload later!!!
